00243 Happy Hips Roses is an oil painting done plein air at L'Etete Pt., near the ferry to Deer Island, New Brunswick, Canada. The wild roses thrive in the cool moist sea air. The rose hips are large, juicy and brightly coloured. A jaunty fishing boat pulling a dinghy came by, so I painted that into the scene.
