'00268 "Kouchi Beach" is an oil painting started onsite, and finished in-studio. It depicts the water, pale pink sand and a lady walking up the beach, at Kouchibouguac National Park, during a self-directed painting tour of NB Parks. 00263 "Black-eyed Susans" is an oil painting of a dazzling patch of flowers in my mum's garden, Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. It was painted plein-air on a pleasant fall day and later finished in my studio. 16"hx13"w (41cm.h x 33cm.w)

00255 "The Sheep Came Home" is an oil painting done plein air in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia, Canada. I set up my easel in a friendly farmers dooryard. Just as I was ready to paint, the sheep herd came sauntering down the hill towards us. This depicts the first few sheep in the barnyard. 00265 "Quality Time" is an oil painting depicting a person carrying buckets of freshly dug clams, along a beach in Grand Manan Island, New Brunswick, Canada. This series was started with a 20"hx16"w rendition done in 2021. A friend artist, Marjorie Aitken, had given me the large canvas to work on. The size was at first intimidating but I grew to really like it. 60”h x 45”w (153cm.h x 114cm.w)

00248 "Algonquin Beaver" is an oil painting of a beaver dam with a well camouflaged beaver swimming along. This was initially painted pleinair in Algonquin Park, Ontario, Canada. I lived in a travel trailer for the summer of 2022, moving to various locations and painting the scenery which inspired me. The painting was later completed in my studio where reference photos were relied on to add the beaver. 15"hx12"w (38cm.h x 31cm.w)

00220 Minister's Bath oil painting, done plein air, shows a field of lupins with a view of the bath house on Minister's Island (National Historic Site), New Brunswick, Canada. Apparently views from this bath house were the inspiration for many of Sir William Van Horne's own paintings. 16”h x 13”w (41cm.h x 33cm.w)

00243 "Happy Hips Roses" is an oil painting done plein air at L'Etete Pt., near the ferry to Deer Island, New Brunswick, Canada. The wild roses thrive in the cool moist sea air. The rose hips are large, juicy and brightly coloured. A jaunty fishing boat pulling a dingy came by, so I painted that into the scene. 13”h x 10”w (33cm.h x 26cm.w)

00254 "A Parrsboro Welcome" is a watercolour painting done plein air in the seaside town of Parrsboro, Nova Scotia, Canada. It is a view of Parrsboro Harbour at mid-tide. I was taking part in The Edge of Winter Plein Air Event, where artists gather to paint the late fall extravaganza of colour and intensity in and about the the hills and coast surrounding Parrsboro, NS. '00269 "The Terns Were Fishing" is an oil painting on linen canvas started plein air (painted onsite in the open air) and was finished in the studio. It depicts the seabirds that were diving for fish during the day at Kelly Beach, Kouchibouguac National Park, while I was painting. It also includes a boy who was digging for shellfish, from my photos nearby, the day before. It was done during a self-directed painting tour of New Brunswick Parks. 32”h x 26”w (81cm x 66cm)

'00266 "Daffs and Ravens" is an oil painting done in my studio in spring when daffodils and ravens were plentiful. A friend, Dale Bolton, had joined me to try out oil painting, so I was showing her how to use a limited pallette of quinacridone red, phthalo blue and cadimum yellow light.
